Got back Sunday before last, it was great, to say the least. It's a little overwhelming for a an Easterner at first, but if you hunt, you soon adapt, and it feels right at home. Though I didn't get any elk, I did learn a lot, and will be better prepared for next season ( and now I can bugle ).
I also learned how to fly fish, and did catch a red band trout on my second cast. I didn't think I would like fly fishing, it looked a little boring to me, but I was wrong and found it too be a blast. I have boots and waders on the way, and am starting to look at rods and reels. I have also got some real good advice through pm's right here on Trad.
