Done a lot of searching on here and found a great deal of "how to" but I really want to see pics of feathers you've dyed (mainly natural turkey feathers).  Post what kind / color dye was used too.  Thanks.

Those are great!  Do you mind telling us what kind of dye you use?  Beautiful!

I use commercial dyes. Much more vibrant color and they don't fade out like Kool-aid and other stuff does when exposed to sunlight. Spent a lot of time and money getting the right formula's for them. Thank you for the compliments.

Treekiller made these for me not sure what dye he used. Hope he will check this thread out and let you know what dye. I've had these arrows for several years now and no fading.

By no means is my way the only way. Skinning cats can be done lots of ways. Just going off my experience. Thats why I switched to commercial dyes. There are a lot of great colored feathers out there.

Thanks Tracy, glad they're still holding up!  That was some Tulip brand dye I found. Could only find a couple colors and was tricky to work with...too long in the dye bath and the feathers would get weird.

Years ago I dyed some feathers for flytying using Veniard dye. Been thinking about ordering several colors to try on natural barred turkey.

Veniard dye is the way to go. I dyed and sold fly tying feathers for years. Feathers have held up for years and still going strong , many used in salt water flies.

I've been getting the powdered dye that Great Northern sells.  Very vibrant colors.  Have also used Rit fabric dye.  Also very rich colors, though perhaps not quite as vibrant.  Neither fades or washes out over time.

Sometimes if you have trouble getting feathers to take the dye real good, its because they have natural oils on them, some birds more than others. Just wash the feathers first with dish soap and it takes care of that.
