okies? or others
« on: September 07, 2013, 01:21:00 PM »
Any okies interested in going to Montana on an elk hunt learning expedition. This is really short notice I know...but I have been waffling back and forth over the last several weeks. I put in the last two yrs for an elk "b" [i.e., cow] license and haven't been drawn in the area that I have friends living in. I am looking at a couple of different areas that I need a partner on, since it would be over 100 miles from where my friends live. If any interest let me know. Also, you don't need to be an okie to go either, maybe just more time and money than good sense!!
thanks, Joe D

Well, saying that I have more good sense than time OR money is REALLY not saying much!     If I win the jackpot soon I might be up for it, cuz it sounds like a lot of fun, but otherwise, I'm just gonna hafta stick around here in OK, and try for bear again next month. Sure would like to hear how it goes for you though! Good luck!

Thanks guys! If I don't get someone to go with or join me, I have a business partner w/ a couple ranches in central tx. I will probably just go down there and hunt whitetails. However, I would so much rather go west and hunt elk or mule deer....I'm just not too fond of the idea of going by myself to the wilderness of Montana and being grizzly and wolf bait.
