home done pocket quiver

I'm equipping myself a little at a time. My range quiver had been a card board "leather-look" tube. I got a huge bag of leather scraps and 5 yds of synthetic sinew for uunder $10 at HoLo yesterday. I spent about an hour today, measuring twice, cutting once and came away with this.  
I've got the touch of a buffalo, so the details aren't that great, but like so much of my stuff, it's really functional. Jim

Good work! My only suggestion would be to use a longer piece of leather so can make a belt loop. I found that when the quiver is new that the arrows fit tight in it. When I drew an arrow I got the whole quiver of arrows. I also cut the top piece a little larger. When you sew it up it you get a little more room for those 23/64 wood arrows.
Half the fun of DYI is making things that work for you, but I have been known to "borrow" ideas from others. My present pocket quiver has a pocket that is on the outside of my trouser pocket for carrying spare "stuff" and a bow stringer.

Thanks for the input Gunner. I wanted to keep my first one simple. There is enough leather in that bag, I should be able to put together a couple more at least. My wife just started shooting with me, so I might talk her into using a pocket quiver as well. Jim

My first looked just that!  I sew a lip on mine now, it fits over the top of the pocket.  Belt cuts as gunner says is a welcome too.
The neat thing is the quiver is functional and YOURS.  Now the fun begins-imagination soars

Nice work Jim... You'll enjoy that quiver more than most. I made one very similar that I use daily. You did a great job on the stitching.

Thanks, guys. Part of the joy was using an old leather punch passed down from my uncle, that and finding the good deal on all the leather.
