Speed - Broadhead vs Field Point

Dumb question I guess, but here it goes anyway. Is there any significant difference between the speed of an arrow with a field point vs. one with an equal weight broadhead? I was shooting last night and had a broadhead on one arrow. All my arrows were hitting the same, but it sure seemed that the one with the broadhead was noticeably slower.

I would guess that the larger surface area of a broadhead would create more resistence with the air.
I have not noticed any noticable difference with my setup but I have never run my arrows hrough a chrono.
My arrows seem to fly better with a broadhead then with a field point. LOL
