Coop, I shoot left handed and broke my left tendon mid October a couple years ago, and like a DA kept hunting, even though I knew what I had done and thought I couldn't hurt it any worse and just wasn't going to miss the rut,  drawing a bow with a detatched bicep required hooking the string and drawing with my back, I killed 3 deer with it broken, finally went to the doc after the rut ( early December)and had surgery late dec.  I had really complicated the surgery, the tendon had withdrawn up into my shoulder. and required a graft.  The following October I broke my right one, went to the doc and he told me I had 6 weeks max, to hunt before getting it reattatched. but I couldn't shoot a bow even a heavy recurve. it had to much jar upon release.. anyway I got it fixed early December, this surgery went much better, but a year later I still get a little pain at times even from my left one. So don't be dumb like I was, believe it or not hunting can wait for you to fully recover, if you tear it loose you have another surgery facing you and even more down time.... let the doc know your intentions and do what he says, if it hurts , don't do it.   Im sure you know all this but I had to learn the hard way, both breaks were hunting related and couldn't have come at a worse time.... I also had a back surgery a few years ago and this tendon thing is a lot more difficult to recover from.. but I was glad to hear it wasn't age or conditioning related, just doing things stupid...  take it easy Coop......

Try it for a couple weeks see if that works for you if it does then go out and buy a recurve.
I just can't shoot a longbow so I'm sticking with my Widow.
Thanks for the offer. I would hate to mess up your new bow though, lol.

Hang in there Coop, had to shoot lefty for a little while year and a half ago because of neck issues that caused weakness in the bow hand and forearm.Work slow and you'll be back in no time.Had a friend give me a Bear Alaskan to help me.Good luck.

Coop...last year I could not pull back 30# RH. I learned to shoot lefty and built up to 52#. I hunted LH last year, took 2 deer.

I had rotator cuff surgery in Feb and now can shoot my RH bows again. Take your time, work hard on pulling back and holding and you should be fine. Good luck this fall...
