Fred Bear on the Tube Tonight!
« on: September 12, 2013, 08:51:00 PM »
Tonight at 10:00 Eastern on The Sportsman Channel:

"Fred Bear: Father of Bowhunting"

I know there were some discussion posts previously on this one, but I thought a one-hour reminder might be helpful for those without DVR capability.

(Sorry for the tease for those of you without The Sportsman Channel).

Thanks for the heads up. We watched it, and thoroughly enjoyed it. My 22 year old son commented on how calm and quiet they appeared (Fred and others) after a kill, vs. the "whoop and holler" style of todays TV hunters.

I sadly missed it but I think they said it would be on again at the end of the month. I don't know about you guys but I could live with canceling a few of the shows on these days to watch fred.

Does anyone remember a show the Sportsman Channel did in 2003 called Circle of honor, Fred Bear? I was privileged to be one of the people interviewed for that show that knew Fred and recalled experiences with him.

Deeter, I think it will be on the 28th of this month. I will post when I see the advertisement and know for sure. Mr. Laclair, I have not seen the circle of honor but would like to. Was it only on sportsmans channel or is there another way to view it? You are a lucky man to have known Fred bear!

I'm sorry, it wasn't the Sportsman channel it was the Outdoor Channel in February of 2003, a 30 min Documentary.

I remember Circle of Honor, Fred Bear. Wish I had recorded it. As I recall it was a neat tribute.

Thanks for calling up the memory Ron.  :)
