The warranty on my 68" Hill Wesley Special held for about 30 seconds after I open the shipping box. I can't reach the end of the bow when using a stringer either, so on it I use the step through method. On my lower poundage longbows I use the push/pull method of stringing. Step through has never been a problem on any longbow I have owned, but I would never use it on a recurve.

I use the push pull method for anything but recurves where I use a stringer.

I find it's not a problem until bow length exceeds 68" and I'm only 5'2" tall. So you should be able to string that bow with the push pull fairly easily.

One thing which makes the push pull a little easier is keeping the push arm locked at the elbow and doing the work with the pull arm.

Helen is 5'2" and I have built her 3 longbows 64-66" long.. she uses a 2 pocket stringer with both feet shoulder width apart..we unstring our longbows after each use.

If you decide to use a stringer i just wnat to mention tillering stringers. You can get these at 3rivers. They are ver thick leather cups and super durable and cost only a couple bucks more. just trim the upper limb cup a bit so that you can get the string to the nocks. Been using tillering stringers as stringers for many years. they are the most durable and strongest i have found.
If you are gong to buy a new stringer might be worth looking in to them. I personally love them and wont buy another standard stringer for my longbow.
