Anybody know what Mickey-Mouse boots are going for these days?  Many guys swear by them in the cold. Some of the "big name retailers" carry them, but I bet surplus has them for less.

Mickey Mouse boots were developed for the military, I believe.  They're double walled rubber boots that have an air space between the walls.  Very warm, but so large they make the person's feet who's wearing them look like the feet on the Mickey Mouse cartoon character.  Thus the name.

Most pack boots (leather tops, rubber bottoms) with felt liners are quite warm.

I recently picked up a pair of Muck Boots, Woody Max model, mainly for slogging through water on the way to some of my deer stands.  Didn't buy them for warmth, but I've found them to be very warm, certainly up to the cold weather in Northern Wisconsin in November.

Ever tried regular boots with boot blankets?  They're like booties you slip over the boot when you get to where you are going.  Usually around $40 US.  That way your feet don't sweat while walking around.

Here is my 2 cents, I have a pair of muck boots. You can roll them down when your feet start getting warm, and when its cold leave them rolled up. Myself when these were out I'll order another pair. I beleive the web site is muckboots.com if your interested.

take an extra pair of socks with you. Once settled in your stand, remove the boots and put on fresh socks. You will get rid of the sweat from walking in. Problem solved.
Is it too late to be what I could have been?

Boot blankets work great. I've used them with uninsulated Danners when it been in the teens and a foot and a half of snow/
