Old Bear Long Bow.
« on: September 06, 2007, 10:05:00 PM »
Could anyone give me an estimate price on an old Bear long bow from 1958. Its got a decent size scratch on one side of the limb but my local traditional archery salesmen said it could be fixed, fairly easily. I'm no expert on Bear bows but on the front side of the limb it says "Polar".

The Polar is a decent bow but I'd be worried about a scratch in the glass if its deep.

I think I paid 100 for the practicaly mint condition 70# one I own.

100 if it's in great shape.  This one sounds like closer to 75 though.
I'm in the middle of buying a bunch of '55-'62 Bears  :)   check the completed auctions on *that* site to see what they've been going for.

this has nothing to do with the long bow, but do you guys still put on the fresno safari shoot? i went to many of them in the 80's are they still around?
i was told by a sales person, when purchasing an out-of-date newpaper that it was out-of-date...

i told her "i've been told i'm out-of-date, too"...

does that mean i'm up-to-date?
