I've only had a quick lock on one bow that came to me that way, but one theory is maybe they're to slip on your shafts to keep the arrow slipping forward through the holder in case the nock comes off the string??  I'm curious myself.

I believe they go one one or both of the ears of the arrow holder for use with smaller diameter shafts.

Tator you are my hero!

For years I've been bumbfounded by that little o-ring. I've been using the Kwic loc forever and have always tried to figure out what that thing was for. My gosh do I feel stupid!

I just recently installed a Kwic loc on my longbow and it's almost too loose for my 1816's. Of course, I threw the o-ring away after once again not knowing what it was for.

Wait 'til I tell the guys!

Just use a very small rubber band, it'll do what you need it to do.
