Bodnik Little Stick Longbow
« on: September 19, 2013, 09:41:00 PM »
Was looking for a 35lb. @28" bow for rehabbing my left shoulder. Couldn't find much on Tradgang"s classified's  so I went to Kustom King and found the Bodnik Little Stick Longbow. Ordered Monday evening and it arrived here in Charleston today. That was the first surprise.    :)   I opened the package and was impressed with the design and looks of the bow, finish, etc. Strung it up, tied on a nock and went on the porch to fling a few shafts. This is a sweet shooting bow. 58", priced at $250. I have some great customs, but I am amazed at what a great little shooter this is and that I now have something that let's me shoot a lot of shafts and regain my form. I'm not afraid of taking this baby in the woods.

Lets see photos! I always liked the looks of the bearpaw bows and they have some great stump and 3d shooting videos!

Pete Ward is a big fan of their bows.  I trust his judgement.  Been meaning to try one at some point.  Can't beat made in Germany and a 30 (!) year warranty.

The little stick sounds great for a lower priced bow. Pictures?

Need some help. I took some pics (not great) and uploaded to Photobucket. How do I get them into my post?

Went over and picked up one of those from Tim for my first bow two years ago. I got mine at #40. Best decision I ever made. Learned good form and got the feel of shooting without "over bowing" myself. Good luck with your shoulder rehab.

Good looking bow. Much better than the earlier pale maple versions.

Yeah. The pictures on the site show a very blonde pale color. I was really pleased when I unwrapped that the wood had a nice medium stain and a satin finish. It was marked, "Made in the Czech Republic". I love the grip as it is set up for a high hand hold which is my preference.

Very nice looking bow! How smooth is it due to its length?

Smooth draw; bow does not stack at all. 58" is my preferred length because down in SC we have a lot of thick foliage to deal with. I have a collection of fine custom longbows and recurves and this amazingly stands up with them all !

Those are just glass streaks.  A common cosmetic flaw in clear glass.

I asked my wife's opinion on the pictures. She said the room was a mess. No dear, it's all about the bow!

If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, then what's an empty desk a sign of?

No cracks in limbs or finish. Personally, I don't want a shinny finish in the woods.

Well, everybody can handle organized rooms, but it takes a genius and brilliant person being able to handle a mess and find things back!
