I presume you are speaking of the static arrow on bow position ?
For the arrow to touch the entire strike plate the bow must be cut to well beyond center, enough to offset half (or more) the diameter of the arrow being used.
If you are speaking of wear on the plate, many other factors creep in as well. Some to consider might be: your release; arrow diameter; arrow stiffness (spine); arrow taper (if any);brace height; location of feathers; size and thickness of the strike plate and probably a dozen others.
