Woodys for 59lbs Hill Style

Hello Gang,
what is to start tuning the best spine for wood arrows for my Hill style?
The bow is  straight end 67inches n.to n. and 59lbs by my 28 draw the side window is 1/8 past center with 1/16 strike plate.

Today i shoot GT 55-75 trad. 29inches with 75gr.inserts and 145gr.points.

They have a good fly,
now i will go to wood.

Well, who is the bowyer of your bow?
My suggestion would be to start out with a 60-65 lbs wood shaft with a 125 grs point and cut to 28 BOP. This is for a B50 (Dacron) string. If you prefer HMPE strings (Fast Flight, Xcel, etc.) than pick a 65-70 lbs spine shaft. You may pay attention to your arrow weight also. Don`t go to light. I am shooting Northern pine shafts out of my Hill bow and am very pleased with it.

I find that a Hill style will shoot about 5 lb under draw weight with a 28" arrow and 125 grain point.  I don't see much difference between a B50 and a FF type string, maybe a couple pounds spine.  For a 29" arrow and 125 gr point I think you will do well with 60-64 lb spine.  

Paper tuning with a variety of spines will let you know exactly what you and your bow like the best.

iam the bowyer  of this bow.
I have make a order by wilderness arrows,
29inches 60-65lbs and 145grain point.
I think its a good start and i can cut the arrows when i have problems.

On all my Hill bows, I get good results shooting 29" arrows at the stated draw weight of my bow. For example, I shoot 55 - 60 arrows on my 55# Hill Cheetah cut to 29" with 125 grain points. I draw a little less than 28" so I am not exactly sure what my precise draw weight is. On my 65# Wesley Specials, I do well with 65 - 70's and 70 -75's both and use 145 grain points. Therefore, I would think maybe 60 -65 or 65 - 70 would be close for you, unless you want a considerably heavier point. Let us know what works out best for your rig.
