the bright side is....
« on: October 01, 2013, 08:31:00 PM »
With the Gov't on shut down and me being a  federal employee (aircraft mechanic on C-130's), the bright side is that I get to spend some more time out in the woods! The wife isn't exactly on board with the idea yet, but she will come around.... I hope!

Anyhow, there's some prime hunting weather coming up this week.  Hopefully I will be posting some pics!

Good luck everyone!

That's great, Rodd, as long as you're not hunting on a federal refuge!!

Glad to see you found the silver lining! I was thinking along the same lines until I found out that the shutdown has also forced the closure of hunting aboard the installation I normally hunt on! Not a good time to be a public land hunter in my neck of the woods, hoping it all gets hashed out soon for more reasons than one.

And NOAA.GOV is shut down how do I know my hour by hour wind direction for this weekend's hunt?
