I guess I standalone in that I dislike scoutlook or at least  I don't get the value of it and then it is slow and cumbersome.

I much prefer a weather app that has hourly wind direction predictions with an occasional look at google maps for an overview of the land.  It is much faster and gets me the info I need.

As near as I can tell, the scent cone is just a graphic of the wind direction.  That is not much of a value-add to me.  Now if it took into account the terrain, that would impress me.  e.g. I often hunt in heavily bluffed areas and when I am on the eastern side of a bluff and the wind is out of the west, the wind direction below the bluff it is usually out of "the east" as it curls over the bluff.

You might also check to see if one of the universities/colleges in your state has an "environmental observation system" website.  They show a map under the "Geobrowser" tab with observation stations and you click on your chosen icon.  It gives you the current temps, wind speed/direction, rain, dewpoint, barometric pressure.  It does NOT provide a forecast, only current conditions.
