I hope and pray you heal fast.  Get it screwed back together, get a ground blind and go hunting. Make the on that got on the ladder hall all your stuff around for you.    :D

I hunt mostly hang ons with stick ladders.  ladder stands are fine, but I do hate putting that strap on the top when I set them.  I ease up there and hook on the tree with my safety line right away.

I feel for ya, went through that last year.  Here's my deal:  http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=130922;p=2#000022

Some of us learn the hard way and some even worse.  Thankful you didn't end up worse.

You'll be back.

Gosh, Guys thanks for all the encouragement. I'll come out of this just fine, only problem is you don't heal as fast at 63!
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

That's a bad deal Ben!  A seven year old boy in my church fell from a ladder stand last year and broke his femur!  Nothing to mess around with.  Hope you recover quickly.
