My dad had 2 oaks removed because they died and was told there is a bad oak blight.  Maybe the cause

Here in Iowa, the hillsides are dangerous, they are covered with those brown ball bearings. I walked by a walnut tree before the last rain and there were three squirrels.  One was laying down and still chewing on a walnut.  He gave me a "what do you want" look, but he wasn't going anywhere.
