I can get alot more nocks and knife handles out of a nice NT, which is what I would really like to harvest. I would get more enjoyment out of the rack that way(besides, mounts are EXPENSIVE!)
If I was dreaming of the ultimate tropy mount, I would definitely go for the perfect typical. With matching droptines...OH YEAH....

I've seen some non-typicals that aren't so good looking and I have seen some typicals that aren't so good looking. There is just something about a heavy symetrical muley or blacktail that does it for me. I have seen a handful of non-typical muleys that look great. So, to answer your question, it depends on the formation of the rack.

If I have to choose, I'll take the non-typical. Either would be awesome, but I've never even seen a non-typical in the woods.

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.

Something like this would be okay.
Dang, all the times I've looked at that photo I never noticed those two guys!!!... That would have been a great picture if they hadn't buggered it up.

My dream deer is a symetrical (is that right
) ten point. My dad has always wanted to shoot one and has been unable to do so. Now he has rotator cuff problems and can no longer shoot a bow and I hope to hang one on the wall for him in thanks of all he has done for me.
