Killed one in "my spot" that scored 151 3/8. That was in 1969.

Ray: I never thought of Eldon as having pretty hair....but then again I left the South many years ago. Some things do seem different there.

November 2005 I killed a 139+ 8point whitetail in the woods surrounding my house here in Metropolitan Des Moines Iowa. Pics were posted here on my profile but have since disappeared. Not entered in the book.

To date 9 out of 400+ on here have.
.......Hall of Fame TG Whitetail Bowhunters...for sure.....no Marty.... Wensels don't count..this thread is about P&Ys not B&Cs bucks.......another perspective...400 bowhunters X 12 years ( average bowhunting experience) = 4800 years.....Every 4800 years 9+ traditional bowhunters will take a P&Y buck at their "Deer Camp" or behind the house........dang , i better start booking some Midwestern hunts

No, Bill. You just have to see sarcasm when its in front of you. On the other hand, while I really didn't think Eldon has pretty hair, I did think you had a purty mouth!
By the way, I'm from Colorado. I only LIVE in Georgia because I'm a smart feller.

This is a picture of the deer I shot on my land in 2003. It is the same deer as shown in my avatar. Never officially scored or entered but should score somewhere in the 160's. It was definitely a dream come true to take a buck like this on my own land but I think the guys who are really doing it the hard way are the ones who are shooting P&Y type bucks on public land with lots of competition.

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Yep, last year on my 40. Used my climber and killed a 140+ 8 point. I've got a serious whitetail spotted and set-up...no trees anywhere near him, so gonna bucket him and kill him!

You guys shoot some nice deer. The trick is to do it consistently. Almost 20 years since I shot the big one...I am beginning to understand the "once in a lifetime" thing...at least in this part of the country.
