Heavy spine arrows
« on: October 17, 2013, 12:39:00 AM »
I have been thinking of getting a 70# long bow but I don't know where I could get arrows for it . I shoot 60# 29"long , aluminum 2317s and there is only one arrow heavier . Would I have to possibly sleeve two arrows to get the spine weight I might need ? I have heard of this but don't know if or how it is done . If it would be to much hastle to get those kind of arrows I wont even bother with it

If you are stuck on aluminum you could go 2419, if more weight needed sleeve over 2216.

In wood hickory, ash or lam birch will all come in spines and weights for a 70#.

In carbon go GT7595, Carbon Tech Rhino or Safari, or ABS Griz Stiks in the Safari grade.

I haven't shot a bow less than 67# for years, and have had no issues finding arrows, including for a high performance 80# Harrison HSS.

hey graps

if you go to carbon youll have plenty of options depending on the length and weight you want.

.300 to .400 spines will work depending on length, point weight, centreshot etc.
