Oklahoma McAAP anyone?
« on: October 22, 2013, 12:25:00 AM »
Anyone hunt the first two weekends or have you heard any news about conditions, food sources, chasing?  We hunt next weekend and I have not heard anything yet. Surely someone went the last two weeks.

Was there this past weekend. Didn't have any luck. It is still pretty green up there and they have plenty of food to choose from right now and no need to really travel for it. They haven't started chasing yet, I figure they will in about another week or so. On the plus side all the bucks seen looked to be in really good shape and definitely big in body size. Good luck.

I'm in hominy. I hope these cold nights get the bucks moving. We have an idea where to hunt but any advise would be welcomed. Horn chaser what section did you hunt? How are the persimmons looking up there. I'm leaving at noon tomorrow. Can't wait!!!

I was in deer creek the group camping next to us was hunting Hominy and they had said the persimmon trees over in that area was overloaded and some were starting to fall. I didn't have any or just didn't find them in the area I was hunting.
