recomendations on a hog hunt?
« on: October 22, 2013, 10:23:00 AM »
I am looking at taking a hog hunt around the first of the year. Does any body have any recomendations? All the hunts in Tn are on high fence places, and that dosnt sound much fun to me. wouldnt feel like i had accomplished anything. I like hunting in georgia, but open to sugestions. I would even pay to hunt someones private land (deer for that matter).

Brad,
I can highly recommend True South Adventures, Ft. Pierce, FL.( a Sponsor here). Jim Dussias and Irv Eichorst run their hunts on ranches with no high fences. Been going there for a few years now and, in fact, am going back in Feb. Give them a call and/or PM me for more info.
                                   Best regards,

Brad,

Check out the thread on the Wild Things hunt for the first weekend in December.  We've got two spots open!

Yep, you've got it right!

Hey Bob, tomorrow I'll update the schedule for Dec 6-8 to reflect the openings so there isn't any confusion.

Hello Hog Seeker,
Wild Things is where you need to be. Would like you to try wild hogs in Lowcountry South Carolina. I have 3,000 acres along the Savannah River just northwest of Estill SC.  No fences, few roads, new camp, and many, many hogs. Maximum of eight hunters. Three and five day hunts. Home cooking, Treestands in place, miles and miles of trails for stalking, walk in cooler at skinning shed. All inclusive except SC hunting license.  Website is   huntwildthings.com. My phone is 803.943.8818.

Sponsor Greg Campbell of Swamp Hunts.   Just seeing the various mounts in his house and hearing stories of his hunts is worth the trip.
