Asbell's are about service , not money

Years ago I met Fred at a trad fest. Got a couple of books and a knife. Use my credit card and went away happy.
Never paid much attention but a year later the charge showed up on my card.
Im guessing if they can wait a year to get paid then they must be doing it for the love of it.
BTW Fred was a very nice man who offered advice that was humble.

I can't comment on their wools or anyone else's because of my wool allergies BUT there little knives are something I can comment on.  I bought one years ago when they first started selling them and it stays on my work bench. It is the handiest tool I have. They are a must have and a great deal for the price.

Teresa just sent me a new knife to try out. Sort of a boning/camp kitchen knife. A few hits on a kitchen steel and it was as sharp as I have ever seen a knife.

I used one of their other models (I forget the name, kind of an old style, beaver tail handle knife) on 2 mule deer this year, with no sharpening during or in between. Amazingly sharp.

The Asbell knives sell like hotcakes at the shows, but the wool sort of takes centerstage here on Trad Gang. The are a sleeper....low price, super high quality.
