Trad bow goes prime time television (now with video)
« on: October 24, 2013, 02:09:00 PM »
Don't know if anyone saw it last night during the World Series, when my beloved Cardinals got spanked, but during a Chevrolet truck commercial a guy is closing his garage door, and there on the wall is a green Super Kodiak hanging perpendicular to the floor all by it's lonesome. It sure appeared to have the primo spot in the garage!  Maybe General Motors has realized how magnificant traditional archery has become?  Anyway, good plug for Bear. Hope the ad sells a million more bows for them.  LF

Nope, wasn't watching since my Tigers weren't playing...

I'll have to catch a game or 3 now, sounds cool.

Nice!  There's a movie right now out for rental starring John Travolta and Robert DeNiro about to rival veterans of the Balkans war, in the movie Travolta hunts with a genuine Hill bow and back quiver and feathered arrows.  DeNiro shoots a compound and Travolta needles him for doing it 'the easy way' LOL.  It's called "Killing Season".  Good movie.

Sorry to let the facts get in the way of a good story!  This was not a Chevy commercial as I had hoped for.  Guess I was dreaming too much about that new 2014 Silverado, and let my dreaming interfere with the facts.  Here is the link to the video with the Bear bow.  LF

Who keeps a car in the garage anyway? If I had one my boat would be in it    :goldtooth:

This is so funny! I was telling my wife during the ALCS that there was a Bear bow in that guys garage. She just looked at me and rolled her eyes!

Marc, exactly!  A garage is meant for the boat!  Bows go in the bedroom.

Hey Mike, I spotted that bow in the ad too. Then had to replay the ad to make sure I saw what I thought I saw and to show Sharen.  Too bad it's just hanging on that wall and not being used by someone.  As I've not watched the World Series (since no one important is playing in it!) it must have been on earlier when the Tigers were supposed to be playing against Boston.
