Wool Shrinking

Has anyone done a controlled shrink on a wool garment? I have a Asbell wool pullover that's a bit large for me since I've lost some weight this year.
Didn't know if it was possible or not. Thought I'd check with the Gang before ordering a new one. Thanks in advance.

YES, Everyday.
Heat, water, soap and agitation will shrink most wool. The hard part is to determine in "what direction" the wool will shrink. That's why you see sweaters at the 2nd hand store that are all out of proportion.
I would first contact Teresa and talk to her and see what she suggests. She knows her wool best.

I find that if I hang garments in a closet for a few years, when I take them out, they are always much tighter and smaller that they used to be. I have some old jeans that must have shrunk 4" in the waist. Oddly enough, it's always the waist that shrinks and never the inseam. Odd. Hope this helps.

Drink more beer and eat more cheeseburgers. It'll shrink that thing in no time.

I have purposely schrunk wool, wash in cold water, gentle cycle, then put in the dryer on MED and take out every 5 minutes and check the fit,I must stress keep your eye on how it's coming along. The best scenario would be that you could wash it and dry it completely in the dryer too tighten the weave.
