Cloudbaseracer,

That is the reason that everything is seperated the way that it is so that the leg asembly is able to be stowed in the seat the way that it is. Every piece has its own pouch that it fits in so you empty the pouches to set up and then fill the pouches to carry the seat out.

When we first did the prototype and I gave it to different hunters to try I was anxious to see if people would lose pieces. In the first full season (deer and turkey)with 4 different hunters using the seat not one piece as lost.

I have had to ship out only one washer this year since we started selling the SPOT 360. I believe because everything has its place it facilitates putting things back where they were. For whatever reason I am pleased with what I have seen so far.

Let me add this to the conversation although it is not related directly to your question. It may explain where I was coming from in this design.

If you consider the different parts of every hunt and put a time allotment to each part it would go something like this.

1) Traveling to your spot to hunt: 10-60 minutes.

2) Hunt your spot: 1-5 hours. This is the part of the hunt that seat assembly fits into.

3) Travel back to where you started: 10-60 minutes.

When you think about it taking only 60-90 seconds to set up your seat then you see that this part of the hunt is the least time consuming part of each and every hunt. There are seats that you just pop open and put in place, like camp chair style seats and they take maybe 20 seconds to set up but putting too much value on how quickly a seat is to set up really doesn't fit into the big picture.

Can you pack it well, sit for hours, swivel 360 to get a shot off accuratley, adjust to inclines... these things, IMHO, are the most significant because they are the things you spend the most time doing. Thanks for the question.
