The next morning, we packed up and cleaned up.
I was sad to see the hunt end. It seemed as if I was just getting started even though we had logged an incredible trip under our belts.
A few good byes were said. a Long embrace was shared with my Father before we parted ways. It will be at least a year or more before we are able to share a hunt again.
The 3 Hour ride to the airport with Charlie went way to quick. In fact I think it only took about 10 minutes.
There was no shortage of good conversation even after spending a week together and bound up in a cabin for days on end.
during our ride, we spotted some good bucks out cruising for does mid day making leaving all that much harder.
Charlie was kind enough to stop and show me what a persimmon tree looked like and I sampled the forbidden delectible fruit.
Once at the airport good bye's were said and I entered the airport knowing I had made a new freind who is more than welcome to share camp with me any time. I felt as if I have know Charlie a long time.
Charlie Is a guy who is usually right However, at the beginning of the trip, he said we would probably have had enough of each other by the end of the week. I hate to be the one to point out, he was wrong, at least this time.
It was truly a pleasure to share camp with these guys. Again I cant thank these Men enough for getting my Dad down. I had learned so much and had a trip that will not be forgotten as long as I am sound of mind.
I was bummed about not Being able to meet Terry, but one day, I will. I owe him a handshake and an in person Thank You for what he has done for me.
I will end my hunt additions to this thread as I sit here and well up yet again.
Thank you for all who made this trip what it was
