I had coyotes on my mind a couple wks ago while walking through the woods a couple hrs after dark.
My backpack was full of fresh boned out deer meat and had a buck's head dangling from one hand to the other brushing against the undergrowth, etc.
I just gave thought to what a good scent trail I must be leaving and how brazen some of these coyotes have gotten.
I'd be getting revenge for my dog also.

Congrats on the deer. It's sad that the coyotes beat you to it. I have trapped coyotes for the last eight winters. I have killed hundreds of them in my hunting area. It doesn't seem to matter how many I get there are always more to replace them. I think sometimes all I do is help the survivors eat better and have more pups.

I nailed this sucker the first morning of the season. First one I've ever seen in the VA woods and the first shot I've ever taken at one in VA. It was a female which made it all the better. I used my Sunset Hill and chundoo arrows tipped with the Ace Express heads. Nate crafted the quiver too.

I feel for you Jack. They got my buck this year. By the next morning there was hardly anything left of him. By the second morning there was nothing but bones... the vultures ate what the 'yotes didn't.
Good luck hunting.

Thanks Jack. I'd like to kill everyone I see! So far, I'm one for one!
