Thanksgiving day fun!!
« on: November 28, 2013, 01:19:00 PM »
I am thankful for so many different things and this is one of them.

A young Marine ( Drew Henson) came by for a Thanksgiving visit this morning. I am so proud to call Drew my friend and brother in Christ.

We had some fun during the visit. Check out these photos and see if you don't agree..lol

With just a few tips on shooting the longbow Drew was nailing it!! The young man is truly a natural.

Drew made a "Ringer" at 12 yards... not too shabby for someone with Drew's experience.

Drew tried every longbow I own with the exception of my David Miller "Hawk" and what floated to the top for him was my JD Berry Vixen "The Amazon Lady- Born on the 4th of July" 68" and 48@28

A close up of a fine young Marine(Drew), the weapon of choice(JD Berry Vixen) and the results,"a dead ringer!"

I decided Drew could use more practice with a longbow so he now has a loaner bow he can drag around with him at whatever duty station and someday when he gets his own custom Vixen he can bring this one back home so someone else can benefit from it.

I only hope you can experience as much fun on your Thanksgiving day!

God bless,Mudd
