Hi all what I would like to find is . I have radioactive implants ( seeds ) and a hormone implant. Is it possible that deer are picking  up me because they can detect or smell something from this ? I have never spent as many hour's in the woods and seen so little game .

You know now that you mention this, I had cancer back in 1995. I took radiation for about three weeks, but didn't have any seeds. I noticed that I always had a funny odor,so it could be that the animals with a much keener nose than ours could smell it.

Dogs and likely other critters can sense or smell different health / desease states in man, including some cancers. Some sort of pheromone etc must be there. However, if you hunt the wind, you should still see some deer. May just be a down year in your area.  Others have been stating the same for quite a while prior to the rut.

Stay in there and keep at it.  Get better soon too.

I feel bad for you, but perhaps the deer are just down where you hunt. When deer get the wind from my stuff, I battle arthritis, they let me know that I stink funny. Truth is the deer are at such low numbers where I have access to hunt it barely seems worth the gas most days. Because of my arthritis flare ups, I will be finding new homes for all of my right hand Hill, Schulz and Roberstson bows and a acouple of recurves. For next year, I will plan on hunting less and using just one moderate rate r/d bow. It seems like all game numbers are down in many areas. I am having a tough time thinking that it is always the common reasons like cover, food and weather. A farmer has told me that corn these days is not so good for the rodents as in the past. I wonder if the area reductions in rabbits and squirrels can be related to the reductions in pheasants, turkeys and deer.

I would think that if they pick up your odor it makes no difference whether it is the natural human odor or your medication they detect, you will be busted, so hunt the wind diligently. Good luck! Also, as others have mentioned, a lot of people are seeing much fewer deer these days.

It's been reported that genetically modified corn, when fed to mice in the lab, reduces birth rates. ?????????????
