I feel bad for you, but perhaps the deer are just down where you hunt. When deer get the wind from my stuff, I battle arthritis, they let me know that I stink funny. Truth is the deer are at such low numbers where I have access to hunt it barely seems worth the gas most days. Because of my arthritis flare ups, I will be finding new homes for all of my right hand Hill, Schulz and Roberstson bows and a acouple of recurves. For next year, I will plan on hunting less and using just one moderate rate r/d bow. It seems like all game numbers are down in many areas. I am having a tough time thinking that it is always the common reasons like cover, food and weather. A farmer has told me that corn these days is not so good for the rodents as in the past. I wonder if the area reductions in rabbits and squirrels can be related to the reductions in pheasants, turkeys and deer.
