So glad I have lifetime license, I just kill my deer and check them in.

As far as resident deer archery:  there is a 6 deer limit; all six deer can be taken with a bow; two bucks only; and you have to have an archery deer license for each deer hunted. In reference to non-residents...apparently the same bag limit, however, it is unclear as to whether they need to spend 280.00 for each deer hunted. I've scoured the regs and haven't been able to determine. It makes no sense that they would have to spend another 280.00 for each deer hunted...but it does not say one way or the other.

'Each of the three types of nonresident
deer licenses permit the hunter to hunt for all
deer allowed during the specified season.'

The three types are, archery, muzzle loader/primitive and regular firearm

The limit is six only two can be bucks

The gun license also covers the holiday season period

Archery license is good from Oct 1 through Dec 31

You can use your archery permit during the other two seasons without additional costs. In other words you don't have to buy a firearm permit to use your archery equipment during the regular gun season.

In a nut shell that's it but not all inclusive of all the states rules, so get the regs. The Fed's have land here we hunt and the harvests from federal lands are not part of the states total allowable.

Hope this helps, Rusty

Your right Joe you do have to purchase a license for each animal as a resident and that's probably the same for non-resident. I've had a lifetime for so long I quit being concerned about buying a tag

I did read the regs and one OK NR deer archery tag entitles you to kill 6 total deer (2 can be bucks).  Been that way for as long as I have been hunting in OK as a NR.  If you want to hunt muzzle loader you buy that tag... gun you buy that tag.  All seasons combined equals six deer but YOU CAN take all 6 with one archery tag.
Everything has a price - the more we accept, the more the cost

I stand corrected.  Dave is right.  It's on p. 18 of the regulations.  I have a resident lifetime  and assumed that non residents had to buy them separately like residents do if they don't have a lifetime.

Glad that is cleared up! Tater, I've had a lifetime since 1980! Parents got it for my 16th birthday. I think it's paid out!

I gotta work this weekend     and family from out of town the 1st.
Deer were bouncing around like rabbits tonight, a prelude to this weekend I predict. I'm north by Oologah. Osage County has some of the best big deer in the state. Matter of fact I took a 7 1/2 yr old 'fat' doe in the western wall a few years ago. Good luck ya'll
