"Sneaky Snake" snaked (pics)

Some of you folks will, I'm sure, remember the beautiful, glossy Osage stave character bow Dano made for me. I decided to start the season with it this year and the beauty is too glossy to not perhaps flash a deer at the wrong moment. Since time was short, I at first just put a coat of paste wax on it without buffing it out. It did cut the shine down some but, not enough, with as glossy as Dano had made it. I decided to try some Limbsations, from Onestringer, (a sponsor). Not only do they do the trick but it was extremely easy, and looks good too, I think. The best part is, it is easy to remove them after the season and go right back to the gloss beneath, if I want, or perhaps get real skins put on. These are in the Canebrake pattern:

Dang Bernie, those do look good. I have a couple bows that would look better wearing those. Mine don't have the overfinish, its wear finish.    I'm not parcel to paint, and really like those. And Scott and Mindy, are good people. I use there wraps, gonna have to try the skins I can see.

Looks great with those on. If you hadn't mentioned it I would have thought they were real.

Thank you all. I was pretty impressed with them too - and Scott and Mindy are great folks, it seems to me, and give extra good (and friendly) service too.
