A little story for ya....
I was on a job(I work construction as a union laborer)back in 2009. My shop steward on the job, my friend Smitty, who I've known since 2nd grade told me he had someone he wanted me to meet.
He said there was a union plumber on the job that was really into "the same stuff you are".
Later that day he introduced me to Glen....needless to say Smitty was right...
We hit it off and went thru that season on that job talking hunting, bows, shooting,etc...daily.
I'm not one to share some of what I do with just anyone...but I never hesitated to share anything with Glen...it was easy to see he was the real deal...just a super guy who I really enjoyed talking with and we started spending some spare time together.
I told him about TG, and he quickly signed up as a member. He liked it here right off. Later I invited him to the Bunny hunt at Shawn's, and the next spring got him started bowfishing.
He is the only reason I made my first selfbow, there was no way I ever would have attempted it with out him.
I'm here to tell you that they just don't come any better than ol' Glenbo!
He's a great shot, a tenacious hunter, an extremely talented bowyer, great family man, in the absolute best shape of anyone I know, of any age...and as seen in this thread, one of the most generous guys I've ever known.
So proud to call him my very good friend!
I have a bunch of photo's I could share from what we've done together, but I'll just share a couple from this year...
Bowfishing on a very tough day on the river, but Glen still got it done!
