When lacing a quiver bottom or tube part first?

I bought a used  Hill Style  Back quiver and I was able to get the green mold off and clean it up but the lacing is cracking off in pieces. ID sure like to get this relaced.It also needs a back strap because the one that I have for it is really discolored and seen better days.IS there a vendor or someone that does these sort of things?

I could do it for ya....
Butt it's not that hard to do yourself.
 Ya need a 1/8" laceing needel and some laceing.
If ya want to send it to me e-mail....
   I can put a new strap on it re-lace it and reinforce the bottom also....

I relaced my old HH guiver in about a half hour. I used 72" long leather boot laces. Take one end and toast it with a lighter and then cut at an angle and you don't need a lacing needle. It will be stiff and sharp. Just follow the way it was originally laced. I just removed a section of old lace a little at a time.  

I do know Mike will fix it up right.

I also use leather boot laces, you can get them at the "marts".  Instead of burning mine, I cut the tip at an angle and put a little bit of super glue on the end.  It soaks in and dries hard.  This also allows you to lace without a lacing needle.

Gee, maybe I ought to try that first. The quiver is Latigo but it has mold and smells. I tried washing it with mild soap and diluted bleach, but it still smells moldy.Wonder if its worth the effort. Mike I may play with this first and see what else I can do. Will be in touch .

OK, I got the leather all cleaned up with saddle soap and neatsfoot oil.I bought some rawhide lace and burned the ends and tapered it to a point. So do I lace the tube part first and then the bottom or the bottom first.Im assuming its two seperate lacings and not all one continuous piece.

I always lace the tube first.  And only because I use the tube to trace the outline of the bottom.  But since you have both pieces it probably won't matter which you do first.  The tube will be easier to figure out how the keep the laces from twisting while you lace it so maybe start with the tube.

I start at the bottom near the seam and work around the bottom then up the seam to the top.

I always start at the top and cross lace to the bottom and then tye it off with a knot....
    The bottom is laced with it's own lace....
To lace without twisting is a chore, go slow and watch what your doing....If ya get a twist, befor ya pull it snug counter twist it untill no twist and then pull snug....
    I forgot one nice little detail, When you lace up the tube, you want to start the lace so end up with the last lace going into the tube, So when ya tye it off the knot is on the inside....

OK, I did it!!!!  I feel so happy and proud!! I did get a few twists but.. the quiver looks great.Im going to need that back strap though... Mike? Can I order up one back strap from you in burgundy Latigo about 1 3/4" wide I guess.Also I would like to buy your Hunter pouch ($45) Give me a total and if I can Visa over the phone that would be great(need your Phone #).I dont use PAyPal.
