I plan to get some to replace some synthetics. I have read up on size info for the 33 and some weights in other products. So far, I am not quite sure on the minus33 weights. There are no dealer around here to see the stuff.
I want to use it mostly for temps 40 down to mid 20's tree stand hunting. I do most of my hunting where I have to pack in more stuff farther and set longer when temps are in this range. I want to keep bulk of clothing down. My biggest issue keeping warm is upper body sweating getting in and setting up so I want to change to the wool to help with that. I want something warm enough for moving in minimum layers or just the base layer top. But, I don't want something so light it doesn't wick well away from my skin, or offer much warmth when setting.
I also wouldn't mid if I could use the top only in a pop up blind for spring turkey and early fall hunting. I am going to get all black stuff for this reason.
I am looking at the light, midweight and expedition weight. My best guess right now is maybe light for bottoms and mid for tops. Maybe expedition weight at some point for real cold weather or for use as a jacket in the pop up blind. I just have no idea on how heavy these are. I don't want to get light weight if it is a real thin layer for real active use, and I don't want to get something I will overheat in moving around in typical rut weather.
