Merry Christmas Canuck. I believe the Eichler tab is cordovan leather. Doesn't need anything extra. The more you shoot it, the slicker it will get. If you don't lose it, it will last forever.
God Bless

ABSOLUTELY Butch!!!  NEVER put any "gunk," oil, grease or ANYTHING on Cordovan!!!!  It will last forever dry and clean.

Not sure why so many refer to "loosing" tabs.  They should be on your fingers or in your pocket  - Why would it ever be anywhere else??     :knothead:

You can make a cordovan tab a bit slicker with welders chalk...with my Cavalier Elite tabs I simply rub the chalk across the aluminum edge to powder it...one could do the same by scraping with a knife

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

i simply wipe my bald head with my tab for some added slickness.  You can also use the side of your nose.

I haven't lost a tab yet, hopefully never. But for the price of them, it still wouldn't be as bad as some mech. release aids (I still have one that cost me $190!). Can buy a lot of tabs or gloves for that!    :banghead:

I lost a SAM tab that I had been using for a few years and it was broken in just perfect.

I still can't imagine how I lost it. I had it at the tree stand and did not have it the next time I looked for it. I have searched but in all the leaves it has not been a successful hunt.

I don't plan to lose another as I replaced the leather cord on it and on my back up tab with hot pink para cord.
I have been trying out a BW three under tab and I punched a hole in it and have a hot pink cord on it also. I wear it on my wrist just like the SAM, works great.
