Good use for silicon desiccants?
« on: December 25, 2013, 09:03:00 PM »
Just an idea, but since I have two small boys and it's Christmas.. I have all my spare/extra wood arrows in a PVC case I made. Its a pretty simple affair with a threaded cap. Anyway, as the boys opened gifts it seemed like almost everything came with those moisture absorbent silicon packs. So I gathered them up and tossed them in the bottom of the tube and sealed it back up. I don't think any harm could come from it, though in the other hand not sure what good it will do either. They're already cut and fletched so I can't band them together, I figured the next best thing is just keeping them as dry as I can. Anyhow, just throwing it out there for whatever good it could bring. Merry Christmas all, keep those in your thoughts and prayers who aren't home this season.
