Which Bow?

Well it's that time, Time to trade bows and I've been looking real hard at a Tall Tines, I've talked to Brian 4 or 5 times over the last 6 months any way the other option is a Predator, and I've visited with both Ron and Mike a few times as well. Problem is they both have me convinced.  

How many of you guys have shot both and what's your take.

Have you shot either? I have owned both, craftsmanship is top notch for both. It came down to a grip and balance issue for me. Which is totally a personal thing....so I'm not saying which one!
I could have easily kept and hunted with either.
If you can get your hands on one of each, see which fits you better.

I have had both.  Three predators and a TT.  With a 29" draw, I can't go below 60" predator.  The 58" just doesn't feel right to me.  I think I could do a 58" TT but will have to check on that.  Neither grip fit me like I would like one, but both shot good for me.  The predator grip tends to be too large.  I did shoot a small grip version once and that was okay.  The TT is a better  grip for me for consistency, but the high grip messed with my elbow and shoulder.  I really want to get a chance to shoot a TT recurve with a low grip.  Love the TT TD LB grip. I never had both to shoot side by side, but the predator is really a performer.  It can't be much faster than a TT.  I could get the TT quieter much easier.

Your best bet is to shoot both.  For me it would be a TT with a lower than standard grip.

I've owned and shot both.  Both bows performed extremely well and were easy to shoot well.

I'm still shooting Tall Tines bows and probably will forever.  

The grip and the quietness (is that a word?) are the difference makers for me.

I sent my Predator back to Ron twice to get the grip redone and it just never worked for me.  Customer service was impeccable with Predator just like it is with Brian at Tall Tines.  

You cant go wrong with whichever one suits you best.

Try them both before you buy if at all possible.

I have a Predator but have not shot a Tall Tines so I don't know about them. The Predator definitely has a different grip which turns my bow hand down a little but is not bothersome just different. It shoots very consistently. The only thing I dislike about it is the riser weight. Could be the denser exotic woods weighing more but I find it very heavy if I add the bow quiver full of arrows. I currently shoot it without the quiver. I know the take downs are heavier so suspect the TT may also be a little heavy. Maybe some TT owners will chime in about riser weight too.
