Sounds good so far. As long as I have critters to chase I'll be good.

There are plenty of critters to chase around here.  I hunt private land but have hunted some of the public land and it is nice too.  Send me a PM when you get here.  There is a good traditional shoot at Tannehill State Park next month.  About a 2 hour drive from Huntsville.

whiteOaks, welcome to Alabama. I live in the Scottsboro area. I'm a first year Trad hunter this year. I've had a blast no kills, but not becuse I didn't have the opportunities. I'm hunting private land this year. But next season is up in the air. I'm loosing  my lease and if I can't find something else or another club I'll be hunting public land. If you North Aabama guys hear of clubs needing members let me know.

Thanks for the replys.
Kip, Brother I have not retired yet.
Taking one last gig at Redstone and then we'll see. This will be a desk job with no more deployments. I hope you are doing well.
Hope to share a camp with you in the future.

Alabama Society of Traditional Bowman(ASTB) are the state club. website is;;   http://www.astb.net

If you like 3d shoots they put on some good ones along with Terry Harris with the Spring Fling in Feb and the Howard Hill shoot in June. Both at Tannehill State Park.

I work on Arsenal with Marshall Space Flight. PM me when ya get to town. Maybe lunch sometime to talk about area if you wish.

Didn't realize there were so many trad shooters in this area.  Wheeler is pretty good mid to late season, depending on where you go out there you might get a shot at a hog.  Bankhead is pretty good as well.
With this many of us here in North Alabama, we need to get together and shoot sometime, or at least shoot the bull.
