Yep, I've tried lots of different glues due to inserts pulling out and epoxy is the way to go on carbons.
As far as weight up front, don't worry, I'm shooting almost the same set up 56" 52# and need 225 up front for them to spine correctly when cut to 29".(since you are shooting less weight I have a feeling your best flight will be with just as much up front) Consider using the 100 grain steel adapter with glue on heads. Although that seems like alot of the weight up front, they fly great and really don't drop like you think they might.
