New bow, going lighter, excited to shoot it
« on: January 15, 2014, 05:32:00 PM »
I picked up my first traditional bow a few weeks ago (Ben Pearson Cougar, 64", 45x@28") and am addicted, to say the least.  I've been listening to a lot of good advice on here and another forum and have decided it couldn't hurt to lower my poundage a bit to get better practice in.

I looked around my area and managed to snag a used Red Bear longbow, 50", 30#@28" for a great price.  With a new string, extra nocks, and a half dozen of 1816s ready to go, the whole thing only put me back $80 so not a bad investment at all.  This could be a way to get my wife hooked too.

Just wanted to say thanks for those that have helped me so far, and that I enjoy posting here on TradGang.
