Help ID this arrow holder? PICS
« on: January 16, 2014, 10:03:00 PM »
I have this arrow holder on my bow and I am trying to figure out the name or who makes it or where to buy more. It is designed to stick on the bow with double sided tape but I have adapted it and use velcro so I can take it off and move to other bows. I have several different types such as Saunders and a few from 3 Rivers but this one has a very small opening and holds the very skinny carbons well. I am shooting the old Cabelas SST 220 so they are only 12-13/64 in diameter. The other brands I have dont hold these skinny shafts nearly as well. Any help appreciated, Steve

A sta jac has a metal mounting bracket and spring mounted arrow gripper.

Saunders used to make one that looks something like the one pictured.  Several other manufacturers also made their own versions, and individual manufacturers changed their own designs over time.  I can't be certain as to who made this one though.  Maybe someone else will recognize it.

I just figured it out! I was searching old threads here on arrow holders and someone mentioned Grayling . I googled grayling arrow holders and sure enough there they were.  I am ordering a half dozen tomorrow.  For skinny shafts this thing works great!! Steve

Thanks, Warden. My  StaJac broke and I needed to find another but have been unsuccessful. This fits the bill rather nicely.

Bill, if you shoot the skinny carbons you will love this holder. holds tight and releases on draw without having to take it off yourself.  and only 2.99 each! I just ordered 7 for just over$23 shipped.  Can't beat that! I'm not running out anytime soon! Lol

I have ordered them from Grayling, too. The attachment to the bow looks different but the arrow gripper works well with smaller diameter shafts.

Very smart move!!  If you find some obscure item that works well for you - BUY a bunch because you never know when they will no longer be available.

Huntryx I think they make 2 different types of holders. . The one your talking about they call. . perfect arrow holder.  The base is oval and has a straight piece of round rubber going to the holder.  Had one of those and didn't work nearly as well for me.  Didn't release right as I drew the bow.  I had to release it myself.  In the moment of truth, the less I have to worry about the better!

Surprised to hear that--Ihave no issues. Try mounting it in front of the riser, not to the rear.
