1st experiment with high foc heavy points
« on: January 20, 2014, 08:31:00 PM »
Been shooting my 58" toelke whip 41lbs at 28, I draw 27 3/4. Been shooting wood but liked the looks of the new trad axis.

Got 3 600 spine cut to 28.5 with the 60 grain brass insert and put some 145 grain points on them.

All I can say is WOW, never dreamed they things would fly the way the do. My pie plate groups are now fist size at 20 and 25 yards.

I not sure what all the heavy foc does but I like it, should get some good penetration too.

By today's carbon arrow standards/practices that's a moderate FOC, but you probably can't go much higher with .600s.  Regardless, it's plenty to improve arrow flight and penetration.  Good they work well for you.

That is a good arrow combination for your setup.I had a complete pass-thru on a doe with a set up close to yours.
