How is a blackwidow PA?

The catalogue I just received in the mail says a 25-29" draw works well for the PSA, not the PMA. The PMA states 24-28" for 58" limbs.

I own two 60" widows, an SA and an HS. My MA with it's longer riser is a 62" bow. I draw exactly 28" with the widow grips. I've shot MAs with 60" limbs and they work fine, but the 62"er is just so much smoother for me.

If I was going to order a new widow and didn't want the limbs to be longer than 58", I'd stay with the SA or PCH. That's just me though.

Hey Foxbo.  Everything you said is spot on and accurate.  I think the OP is more interested in the PA series though. Check out page 17 of their current catalogue.

Yes, you can stay @58" with the PA and still have great performance! As stated above, if you stay within Black Widow's draw length recommendations you're good... The choice is yours on the "feel" you're looking for OR the benefits of mobility with shorter lengths. All 3 of those bows are NOT the same @58"length... In terms of "perceived draw length feel", the KB would be smoothest feel, the PCH 2nd, and the PA third at any given length. That being said, ALL are within recommendations for your draw length at a 58" bow so it all comes down to what YOU want out of the new PA. The catalog does a great job of showing riser lengths, mass weights, draw length recommendations, brace-heights, etc. for all models so it's a great resource... Also, taking a test drive is another option to solidify your decision.... Enjoy the process and your new bow! :-)
