All my favorites just happen to have Bamboo......
In the beginner's mind there are many possibilities. In the expert's there are few...So the most difficult thing is always to keep your beginner's mind...This is also the real secret of the arts: always be a beginner.  Shunryu Suzuki

Best results for what characteristic?  Speed, smoothness, stability, noise..... or overall suitability?

I know Norm Johnson used bamboo in my Blacktails, they are standard in all of his bows.  I will be taking delivery of a Silvertip in a couple of weeks and didn't even ask Dave what he uses for limb veneers.  I'm not sure I'd be able to tell the difference between them anyway.

Boo will give you at least 20+ fps faster than all the rest!

Doesn't make a hill of beans unless you want to split hairs.

I like maple and boo. You have to make your own actionwood with the maple or have extremely good clear vertical grain eastern rock maple. I prefer the good clear vertical grain maple over all other core woods except for the white color on the edges of the limbs. As too performance , with my limb design the limbs chronograph the same with the maple of the actionboo. I recommend both and do not charge extra for either.

God bless, Steve
