Tanned Boar Hide
« on: February 09, 2014, 09:36:00 PM »
Hello Tradgangers, I was cleaning the house last week and I came across a tanned boar hide I had done probably 8 or 9 years ago. It measures roughly 36"x25". It was professionally tanned and still flexible and in good shape with a little razor back. It would make an awesome back quiver, however I just don't have the time to fool with it. I would like to donate it to someone who would enjoy it or make a quiver with it and give it to someone new to the sport. I don't want any money for it I just someone who can use it and enjoy it. I can fold it up and put in a smaller box and ship it cheap. Let me know if your interestd. Thank you Joel

I'd be interested in it. I have a nice quiver but have a friend that doesn't make much and goes bowhunting with me sometimes. He likes my leather work and I'd love to make it into a back quiver for him.

I'm not interested in the hide, but maybe the story behind it. I live in York, and just getting into traditional archery (long time bowhunter though). So perhaps meeting another tradhunter and learning something is more what I'm interested in.

Kagross...shoot me a pm. Maybe we could go for a stump shoot or some 3d. I'm always game to shoot the breeze with a fellow trad shooter. I live in west York not far from the fairgrounds. .Joel

Do a lottery for people who post. You'll get a lot of people who would like to have it . Or could use it

Thanks for the feed back guy's..I appreciate it! My dad never shot a bow or hunted but he never hesitated taking me to shoots and bought me my first stick bow. If I could find a way to get this to a deserving kid it would be awesome for me. I've owned a pile of custom bows over the years and know when you're young custom stuff is what you dream of. Let's get this to someone that's the future of the sport if we can.
