Sucess! ATT. HELP NEEDED with HH longbow
« on: February 12, 2014, 05:16:00 PM »
Guys this is a very strange request and I apologize for having to make it but I feel I have no choice.

In the summer of 2012 I sold a Howard Hill longbow that had belonged to my dad. He had given me the bow a year earlier. The bow was sold through this site in the classified section. The transaction was smooth and pleasant but I can no longer remember who bought the bow. If I remember correctly it was to someone from New Jersey but I can't be 100% sure.

My dad has since started to loose his battle with prostate cancer and is at home under hospice care awaiting the inevitable. He asked me about his bow last week and if I have shot a deer with it yet. I told him it was sold and he understands and didn't ask me to get it back but I now feel I need it.

Long story short the man made a more than generous offer to sell the bow back to me if I decided I needed it back since it was my dad's. I found that offer to be more than generous and never thought I would be asking this question but based on what has happened over the last 6 months I am asking for help in finding who bought the bow and please have him contact me at: [email protected]

Bow was made when Howard was still alive as my dad talked to him directly on the phone when he ordered it. The model is the Big 5 and i believe it draws 60#'s at 28"

Thanks to the kindness of member Gil verwey my dads bow is on its way home. Words can not express my gratitude to Gil for his kindness. Now I will need to work hard all spring to get ready for the fall deer season.

Glad for you.  I am lucky to have two kids shooting lefty like me.  I hope to pass some bows on to them someday.
