Shelf Question
« on: February 17, 2014, 06:54:00 PM »
G'Day Team,
I am a newb shooting a Samick Sage LH @ 35#.
I was watching some vids from Jimmy Blackmon (Ranger B), and he used a rounded bit of timber glued to his shelf, with a hair rest over this.
I am just wondering the benefits of this, and if it is a worthwhile mod to my sage while I save up for one of the TT risers I have been drooling over   :)
Cheers,
Mark

Mark,

That is a tuning technique and gives a little clearance for the arrow.  Just shoot your bow for now and later you may want to do that.  Just don't do it for no reason or just because someone else did it.

Thanks Arne. So more clearance can potentially help arrow flight. Gotcha    :)

Oh, and thanks again for the youtube coaching, things are coming along nicely after a few tweaks to my anchor  :)
