I know this thread is really about the  Classic, but I recently bought a Liberty English here, and I couldn't be more impressed with this bow. So smooth it feels 10 lbs lighter, and when I'm on, it just stacks em up. Not to mention, with the black micarta riser, and bamboo under clear glass, one of the best looking bows I've ever seen.

Skunkhound:

If your English has a black riser the wood is probably gaboon ebony or African blackwood.  They would be similar in appearance to micarta, but I've never used any in my bows. The English is a nice shooting bow too, enjoy it.
